My name is Shane True
I am a husband, father, and proud member of our Casper community. I am running for City Council to bring practical, pro-business leadership to City Hall and help build a stronger future for the next generation.
I am focused on the local issues that matter most: supporting Casper businesses, strengthening our economy, listening to residents, and making smart decisions for the future of our community.

Responsible Growth
Casper should grow in a way that makes sense for the people who live here. Shane supports thoughtful planning, responsible development, and smart decisions that protect what makes Casper special while preparing for the future.
Business-Friendly Policies
Local businesses are the backbone of Casper’s economy. I believe the City Council should help create an environment where businesses can invest, grow, and create good-paying jobs.
That means cutting unnecessary red tape, listening to business owners, and making sure city decisions support long-term economic strength.
Youth Retention
Too many young people grow up in Casper, leave for school or work, and never come back. Shane believes we need to focus on creating more opportunities for the next generation right here at home.

Meet Shane True
Shane True is a Casper businessman, geologist, and longtime member of the local energy community running to represent Ward 2 on the Casper City Council.
With 20+ years of experience in the oil industry, real estate, retail distribution, and manufacturing, Shane has spent his career in the industries that drive Casper's economy, support local jobs, and provide opportunities in Casper and Natrona County. His background as a geologist gives him a practical, analytical approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of the natural resource economy that remains so important to Casper’s future.
Shane is running for City Council because he believes Casper should be a place where businesses can grow, families can thrive, and young people can see a future for themselves. He is pro-business, focused on results, and committed to helping Casper make smart decisions that support long-term growth.
This is a nonpartisan municipal race, and Shane’s focus is simple: listen to residents, support local businesses, strengthen Casper’s economy, and help build a community where the next generation wants to stay.
